Paleo Snacks That Are Perfect For Your March Madness Party

It is that time of year again...March Madness! So grab your beer, deep fried mozzarella sticks. Oh wait. You're Paleo. What to do when you're Paleo when hosting a March Madness Party?! Well, you are in luck! Here are some great Paleo snacks that you can make for your upcoming NCAA March Madness Party!


Bacon Wrapped Dates

(Serving: 5 bacon dates per person)


Bacon Wrapped Dates




Uncured Bacon



Remove seeds from dates and stuff an almond inside.

Wrap each date with a 1/2 piece raw bacon.

Place dates on a baking sheet with parchment paper. 

Bake dates in the oven at 425 degrees in the oven for 15-20 minutes (I prefer crispy).

Remember to turn the dates over at the halfway point.


Pizza Mushrooms

(1 Serving)



1 portabello mushroom (removed stem)

2 tablespoons spaghetti sauce

1/3 cup mozzarella (optional)

3 slices sausage

1/4 tablespoon sliced black olives

1/4 teaspoon garlic chopped



Preheat oven to 375 degrees

Line baking sheet with parchment paper

Place mushroom with the cap faced down and bake for 5 minutes

Take out of the oven

Add spaghetti sauce, cheese, olives, garlic, sausage on the stem side

Bake for 20 minutes at 375 degrees or until golden brown


Paleo Chicken Wings

(Serves 3, unless you have hungry guests)


Paleo Chicken Wings 



3 lbs boned chicken wings

Franks hot sauce

4 tablespoons grass-fed butter

1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder

1 1/2 teaspoons paprika

Add salt and pepper for taste



Preheat oven to 400 degrees

Add all ingredients to wings except butter

Place wings in oven for 45 minutes

Place grass-fed butter in frying pan or caste iron skillet at medium high heat

Fry wings until golden brown


Blue Cheese Dressing

(Serves 3. We understand not everyone on the Paleo Diet eats cheese, but if you do, check this recipe out)



1 cup of grass-fed yogurt

1/4 of olive oil

1/8 cup of apple cider vinegar

6 ounces of blue cheese crumbled

Salt for taste



Mix all ingredients except blue cheese

Stir in blue cheese until desired consistency (more stirring the less chunky)
